1. What is a PDF sewing pattern?
A PDF sewing pattern is a digital sewing pattern that you can download and print at home or at a print shop. Each Patternay pattern includes pattern pieces and detailed, step-by-step sewing instructions with photos.
2. What will I receive after purchasing a pattern?
After your payment is complete, you will receive a ZIP file containing your digital sewing pattern. The files include A4, US Letter and Plotter formats, a 10 × 10 cm test square, and detailed sewing instructions with photos.
3. How do I download my sewing pattern?
Your download will be available after purchase. Download the ZIP file to your device and extract its contents to access the PDF files. Please download and save your files within 30 days of purchase.
4. Can I print the pattern at home?
Yes! A4 and US Letter formats are designed for printing on standard home printers. The Plotter format is suitable for printing using a wide-format printer or at a professional print shop.
5. How do I print my pattern at the correct scale?
Print the pattern using the Actual Size or 100% scale setting. Do not select “Fit to Page”. Measure the 10 × 10 cm test square before assembling your pattern to ensure accurate printing.
6. How do I assemble the printed pattern pieces?
Each pattern includes printing and assembly instructions. Align the pages using the matching markings, then tape the sheets together in the order indicated in the instructions.
7. Are seam allowances included?
Yes, seam allowances are included in all Patternay sewing patterns. Please check the sewing instructions for the seam allowance measurements before sewing.
8. What sizes are available?
All Patternay sewing patterns are available in UK sizes 6–20. Please refer to the size chart provided with each pattern and choose your size based on your body measurements.
9. What fabrics should I use?
Recommended fabrics and fabric requirements are listed on each product page. We recommend checking these details before purchasing your fabric to achieve the best results.
10. Can I return or exchange a digital sewing pattern?
As our products are digital downloads, returns and exchanges may be restricted once access to the digital content has begun, subject to applicable consumer law. Please read our Returns & Exchanges policy before purchasing.
11. Can I sell garments made using Patternay sewing patterns?
Patternay sewing patterns are intended for personal use only. You may not share, reproduce or resell the patterns. Commercial use, including selling garments made from our patterns, requires prior written permission from Patternay.
